Prepare for a Live Callback With Redirects
Also useful for: people in Creative
Build a callback-ready performance plan with a preservation list, contrasting playable versions, redirect drills, casting questions, logistics checks, and a fast reset routine.
We'll use them to write your prompt.
Make Your Play
Give us the situation. We’ll build the prompt.
A callback isn't simply a request to repeat the original audition.
Your answers save as you type.
What you'll do
This is the plan inside your prompt. Add your details first. Then follow these steps with ChatGPT or Claude.

Tell us what the prompt needs to know
Start with the questions below. Each answer personalizes the playbook and builds the prompt you’ll use at the end.
Your situation
The project name or type, role name, and any confirmed character information.
Date, time, time zone, location or platform, session type, expected participants, and duration if known.
0/10000
Paste the casting notice, email instructions, slate requirements, wardrobe guidance, technical specifications, and deadlines.
0/10000
Attach the authorized audition recording when supported, or provide a transcript and detailed account of the performance choices.
0/10000
Attach or paste authorized callback sides, or summarize the scene beats without sharing restricted text.
0/10000
Any direct feedback from casting, representation, or the callback invitation. Enter "none" if no feedback was provided.

Beginner instructions
Watch the original audition once without stopping, then once while taking notes. Describe observable choices rather than judging whether the performance was “good.” If advanced acting terminology is unfamiliar, use simple verbs such as convince, corner, reassure, or dismiss.
Attach only material you are permitted to use. If your AI tool can’t review video, provide a detailed summary of what you did at the opening, the scene turn, and the ending.
Advanced instructions
Test contrast through a single governing variable at a time before combining adjustments. Prioritize changes in relationship, status, tactic, tempo, restraint, and physical behavior over generalized emotional variation.
During redirect drills, limit preparation to 10-20 seconds. Repeat the note in your own words, identify what remains unchanged, select one playable adjustment, and begin before you can over-plan. Record at least one drill to check whether the adjustment is visible without becoming demonstrative.
Use this when
Use after receiving a live callback invitation, especially when you have access to the original audition, callback sides, instructions, or feedback. It works for in-person, video-conference, chemistry-read, producer-session, and director-session callbacks.
You'll need
- Project and role
- Callback details
- Callback instructions
- Original audition
- Callback material
- Known feedback
- Preparation constraints
- Current concerns
You'll get
- The actor has verified all callback instructions; identified at least three original choices to preserve; separated confirmed facts from assumptions; rehearsed one primary and two genuinely contrasting, text-supported versions; completed at least six timed redirect drills; prepared only necessary questions; tested the relevant room or video logistics; memorized a 60-second reset routine; and produced a one-page callback run sheet
- Completion requires at least one recorded rehearsal in which a redirect produces an observable change without losing the scene's objective, relationship, or text accuracy.
